  • Rideable Segway Clone - Low Cost and Easy Build

Hey Ira !I have built the clone as per your directions, but there are a few issues out there.1) When the power switch is turned on, even without pressing the deadman swith the motors start rotating/vibrating.2) Also the motor on the left side is spinning at full speed, while the other one is completely idle.3) In debug mode the FIFOoverflow message pops up so its not possible to see the motor outputs.4) As discussed in many comments I had tried changing the last digit in the line 0×02..... ( from 0 to 17) in the MPU6050motionapps library. But still the problem persists.I have used 350W motors and Sabertooth 2x32 A motor driver. I have set the DIP switches same as in your 2x12 A. IPlease do help because I realy want to finish this awesome project. In the mean time here are a few pr...

Thanks Ihart!!!I tried with a brand new Arduino Uno and the interrupt issue is no longer there. I guess its something wrong with pin 2. But now anyways, in debug mode the angles do correlate with the motions but the motor1percent and the motor2percent variables are printing 100 each and does not change at all.Plz do get back.

Thanks for the reply!!Yes the board is hooked up and is connected to pin 2. It is an arduino uno. The hartway_digital program has not been edited but just uncommented the debug-mode lines. Is it something wrong with the digital pin 2, because I have read that some pins may have that problem. Is there an alternative to pin 2. By that time I'll test whether pin 2 is functional or not.Regards

Just read on Arduino forum that the interrupt can be obtained from the digital pin 3 also with an additional code like digitalPinToInterrupt(3); Is this something we should be looking into.

Hey there!!!Firstly hats off for such an awesome Seg Clone. In our case all the mechanical designing and the fabrications have been done. We have used a 32A Dual Sabertooth Motor Driver and 350W motors. After spending tons of hours in testing and debugging the following message keeps on popping up: "DMP ready! Waiting for first interrupt..."I had tried out Jeff Rowberg's program using quaternions to find the tilt angle, but in there also a similar message pops up (waiting for first interrupt signal). Is it something that's wrong with my UNo, cuz its the third board that's been fried.Needed help urgently Plz.
