About
Let's face it--while the media is meant to be fair and balanced, we all know it is far from it. But it's still important for all of us to keep up with current events to remain informed citizens. So how can you get a clear picture of what's going on in the world around you? Let me give you some tips.Heard about the 2012 end of world phenomena? Are we facing death and destruction or paradise on earth?Just recently, I received a letter from a pastor who was upset because of what I had written in my article in the May Issue of our Evangelist Magazine. I was pointing out how the ministers of today have no problem misusing Passages of Scripture to support their own agendas.Sometimes you may come across situations when you need to find someone urgently. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack if you do not have anything much to go from. You may just know that person's earlier address or social security number and you want to find him.Functional Illiteracy causes over 93 million U.S. adults serious physical, mental, emotional, medical, and financial problems (at least 34 different types of problems) so severe that we would consider most of these problems a crisis if they occurred to us. In addition, about 600 million of the over 1.3 billion English-speaking people around the world read English so poorly that they have the same types of problems. The good news is that there is a simple, easily-implemented, PROVEN solution to the problem.I will never forget the images on my TV screen on the fateful day of September 11, 2001. It was morning on the west coast, and I awoke to see the first tower smoldering. While my eyes were fixed on this horrible sight, to my disbelief, a plane hit the second tower. And then the final blow of the day when each of the buildings fell to the ground. America was under attack, but somehow we have moved on from the devastation of 8 years ago to a mentality that existed the day before the terrorists declared war on us.
