    I receive many, many pill bottles and rather than toss them, I've been putting them in a bag in my spare room waiting for some good use to come along. This article gave me a few more ideas. I have one that I did not see listed here. Use a pill container to hide a spare key to the house. I have a potted tree near my front door. The surface of the pot is filled with many small black river rock to help hold the moisture in and prevent weeds. I took one of those rocks, glued it to the lid of a pill bottle, and placed my spare key inside.Then bury the pill container in the dirt of the planter, leaving most of the rock exposed above the dirt.
