How to make folded book art easier using your computer
I originally installed and used the programs when it first came out using the 1st version for Windows 7. I've made and sold over 2,000 patterns to people all over the world. Yesterday I was helping a friend install the programs using the 1st way also. Everything went smoothly once we got php installed and configured on her computer. When we used the command line to input the variables, it went into a loop and referenced line 189. Several hours later we finally figured out the problem. I installed ImageMagick 6.8.8 on my original computer. We installed the newest version of ImageMagick, 7.0.2 on her computer. They have made some changes to imageMagick so BookArtGenerator wasn't working with it. I found imageMagick 6.9.5 and installed that and the program now works like a charm! So if you want to use the software as described in the 1st iteration, be sure to install an ImageMagick before version 7.0. The newest WAMP works fine.
Cool, thanks for sharing, @mightywelsh! Is the name derived from the German word for harmony - or the French one ;-) ?
Hi, Just want to say thanks for your dedication to give us this programme, and your efforts to simplify for everyone. I used the virtual machine option and ran the linux virtual desktop containing the software. Although i will admit I didnt get on with the image editor, so I created my template in windows paint and then sent it to myself in an email, I then downloaded from my email from within browser on virtual machine. this made it better. Thought I would share my very first project with you. I used 1001free fonts and then adapted in paint shop adding the ying yang as the letter o in my daughter Harmonies name and closing any gaps... I am so happy with the finished project.. so again thanks
Thank you for your help! This was so much fun to make.
When I installed the program I requested inches over centimeters but would now prefer centimeters. I'm confused on my fold numbers because they are such odd increments. For example 1.56 or 4.53. Is that normal? I'm brand spankin' new to this and am doing my research before I start my first fold. Just a tad confused at the outset. Thanks for taking your time to put together this program!
THANK YOU! This is awesome! I'm going to try this out this week and see how it goes!!
Okay, these are awesome! I love the superman one! I'm just discovering this type of art today, so I'm totally new to it, but I wondered did you design the Superman logo? Or can I just get one from online and upload it to the author's website for pattern? Once again, you did amazing!!
I must say the online toll is great. Just like one for cut and fold too. That would make my day.
