On the topic of keypads:Look at any alarm keypad in any house or business and if they've been using it a while you can find the keys by which are dirtiest. You wouldn't have time to run through all the possible combinations for an alarm, but a determined burglar could run through quite a few, especially if your door isn't visible from the street. If your door is out in the open, be sure to screen your use of the keypad. The burglar might be a neighbour or their kid. If they can get a rough idea of the pattern of your code, then look at which keys are dirtiest or more worn...
Your ownership, registration, and insurance will likely have your address on it. Carry it all in your wallet instead of leaving it in the glove compartment. Your spouse of kids can carry a copy (check with your local authorities) in their wallets/purses. If you're out and about and have picked up the mail, don't leave the mail face up on the seat as you run your errands. A quick glance in the window and the crook/stalker/serial killer knows your name (or your kid's name if it's on a child's magazine) and address. "Hi. it's National Geographic Kids calling. Bobby's subscription will be ending soon and we needed to confirm your credit card info..."
