I'm pretty sure he is using 2 6s in parallel. Take a look at this moment (7:55). He has written 5000mAh 22.2V 25C on the battery. This ESC is a great price and should not overheat, because it is 100A, but I don't want to be surprised with no breaks. I'll try to find a different one. Thanks.

Hi, I'm a little confused with the battery that I want to choose. I have been inspired with GreatScott! on YouTube and then I've came across your website. He is using a 6S1P 5000mAh LiPos and you're using 3S1P 5000mAh LiPos. My intuition tells me that the higher voltage should give higher speeds, but apparently both of you get around 30km/h. So what's up with this? 3S Lipos are cheaper, but I don't want my board to be under powered. Also, I'm impressed that you managed to connect your board to a smartphone, but I don't think it is a good idea. In case of a crash I would lose my ego as well as my smartphone :PP.S. Is this ESC any good? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28709__Turnigy_dlux_100A_SBEC_Brushless_Speed_Controller_w_Data_Logging_UK_Warehouse_.html
