About
I am dedicated to re-use, recycling & salvaging materials to make things for our home & garden, not just for financial reasons but also because I prefer the things we have around us to be the way we want them not the way an anonymous designer in an office wanted it.
I enjoy a good real ale a good book & a good movie preferably followed by another ale & possibly a couple more if I don't have to ride my bike home afterwards.
I am engaged to be married to Joan, a girl I fancied 30 years ago lost touch with found again and now intend to keep for as long as she will have me, between us we have had ten kids now aged between 16 & 33.
I have worked in design, prototype & production engineering, sales, IT & the civil service as well as additional work as a freelance photo-journalist & having run my own companies in air conditioning, hand made leather wear & accesories & an excellent real ale & music pub.
It sounds like a lot but back when I had more energy (and hair) it was not unusual for me to hold down two jobs & run my own business.
Plans for the future include building a new greener bike, getting married, getting another pub for which I would love a real ale brewed especially by a local brewer & living as long & as happy a life as we can.
