Hey oblivitus I love your guns but I can't build most of them because I have very few pieces are any of your guns good for a knex war that are relatively low piece?

My best war guns in order from best to worst are my UP3, UP2, Beast Pistol, and Pocket Rifle. But if you wanted an all shotgun battle (don't try to pit my shotguns against the guns I just listed because they will lose from range alone), you could also build my Mag Fed Shotgun 2 and my SLIM- Knex Shotgun. The Mag Fed Shotgun 2 does take a lot of pieces though so 2 SLIM's might be entertaining for a shotgun battle.

Do you have any measurements of knex pieces? Like the smaller features of them? I was wanting to make a Autodesk Inventor assembly of knex for future projects. I don't have a dial caliber to measure the smaller knex features with, so I was wondering if you had any measurements from your program?

Well I just checked the program and found some measurements but I can't quite make sense of them. One of the numbers seems to be spot on when I checked the part with a ruler but the other numbers seem totally random. This is what it says for a 180 degree connector: Metric (cm) Width .99, Depth 5.96, Height 3.72. The 3.72 is the one accurate measurement that I found on the part. Here's a link to download the program if you'd like to try to figure it out yourself: http://mlcad.lm-software.com/d_default.htm I found those numbers under Extras: Reports: Dimensions.

Thanks. Yeah, long hair was a pain to maintain. Kept ripping out in the comb.
Sharir1701 in reply to OblivitusJan 4, 2013. 9:51 AM
lol yeah i know i had long hair about 5 years ago too, longer than yours.
Oblivitus (author) in reply to Sharir1701Jan 7, 2013. 7:24 AM
Oh really?
Sharir1701 in reply to OblivitusJan 8, 2013. 2:08 PM
yeah lol. in the end i had to cut it off though because i had lice (when i was 10). i did grow it for 4 years though with only one haircut in that time, and not a substantial one. lol, i would never go back to having long hair. it was just a faze.

Yeah, I'm liking the short hair for sure. Much less work and much less annoying.
Sharir1701 in reply to OblivitusJan 10, 2013. 2:24 PM
definitely. are you still pruned of knexing (i hope that usage was correct.. lol)? (if it wasn't i meant are you still not building) i find myself now in a similar situation to what you described before, except for me instead of art ad music it's hockey and minecraft.
Oblivitus (author) in reply to Sharir1701Jan 12, 2013. 8:34 AM
I'm still not building regardless of parts basically. Yeah, I'm still really into music, I've been going over to a new friend of mines at college and we've been writing music in his dorm. We work really well together actually, he's extremely skilled at playing piano and a very well learned and technically skilled musician who's been playing since he was only 6 I think he said, which is the complete opposite of the skills that I bring but our abilities work very well together and we write music of a similar style. I'll link you to our stuff when we post something, we're working on 2 albums. We'll probably be playing the open mikes at the college when we finish writing several of the live guitar songs we've started. Exciting stuff anyway. Just started working with him last week. Cool, so how's hockey and minecraft?
Sharir1701 in reply to OblivitusJan 15, 2013. 1:40 PM
lol that ending made me laugh... "blah blah and this and that, ho music... and this and him and dorm and album... so how's minecraft and hockey?" lol... sorry.... anyway, that sounds really nice and i wish you the best of luck together, and may you go viral. just a side note, as someone who had a lot to do with both artificial and natural music, i believe the correct form is mics, not mikes, but i'm being a nudge. minecraft is awesome, as it's always been and hockey is ever so slightly my perfect conception of a sports branch. i love it. i've also gotten a new girlfriend 2 weeks ago who seems very promising... speaking of which, how's it going for you over there?
Oblivitus (author) in reply to Sharir1701Jan 17, 2013. 4:27 PM
Don't feel bad, I laughed at that too. I tried to rewrite in a non-condescending-ish way, but failed, lol, sorry. Yes, mics, that's correct. I hope we're successful in it too. We have a lot of potential, it's unbelievable when you listen to what I come up with on my own and then what he comes up with on his own and then what we come up with together. The music we make together is 10 times better than what either of us can do on our own. In response to minecraft- I used to make up my own maps for stronghold legends, that was fun to play on those with people online. And my life has progressed some, I got a drivers license and a truck about 6 months ago. No luck at all with the ladies, I've tried asking out a few different girls, no dates yet. One of them kind of blew me off for a date. She said yes and then she wouldn't answer her phone the day before we were supposed to go out and I haven't been able to contact her or heard from her since. But I've learned to not make such a big deal out of those things.
