Screw-free, damage free, tool free shelf

I'd forgo that tiny clipboard and use any scavenged piece of Masonite (ie. fake tile paneling used in cheap bathroom rebuilds 30 years ago, but now that tuition has gone through the ceiling and kids somehow can afford the posh gentrified 'remodels' these dumps used to be...they rip it out! Find that dumpster;-) and use your pocket knife, kitchen paring knife, or cheap plastic break-off-blade utility knife like used for 911... score a couple of pieces of the Masonite the same size, 3 if you want it even more sturdy, stack these cut pieces and tape together. This gives you a very rigid shelf. In fact if it is the pseudo bathroom tile Masonite you have lines to go by:) Now, forgo those handy clips and just drill a hole through the Masonite ( one sheet at a time before taping together) using your pocket knife in a twisting back and forth motion ( be sure your knife is a lock blade, or if you use that fancy Swiss Utility knife you be extra careful, they like to fold up on your fingers when used this way, so the secret is keep the knife at such an angle to NOT fold on your fingers). Anyway, the CONCEPT of this post gets an A+, just modify to suit your needs. Just don't go too stealth, you might end up pulling the paint off the wall! After which you might as well nail up a real shelf. You do know how to find the studs, right girls?
