  • DIY Stereoscopic Camera for Oculus Rift VR

Here is a cheap one based on raspberry pi - https://electronicsfreelancer.com/portfolio/home-...Just a test prototype, but works , take snapshot every N seconds then change angle by 20-80 degree depending on settings as programmed but really doesn't matter since stitching takes care of common areas.Uses 2 cheap IP cameras instead of webcams to shoot longer distance. There are 2 dc motors with gearbox , no steppers to keep cost down ($1 vs $8 with driver, heatsink etc )On starting and stopping there is a slight jerk due to momentum.Good enough to put in one's garden and shoot whole day.
