Sorry it took me so long to get photos, my computer was going screwy. Any way here they are. The back of the ram guide acts as a pin lock along with the orange con connected to the ram and pin guide. it still uses the ratchet thing to load as well. If you want more pictures just ask. BTW the last picture has my personalized TR with the swagboss shotgun/masterkey on the bottom. Also, sorry for any blur.
Thanks, it uses a tan rod to hold the turret part. Also just so you know, the back end of the tan rod that holds the turret part is connected to a yellow con in the middle of the blue 3D cons connected to the trigger guard. The yellow cons that have the rod going through them connected to the upper body help keep the turret part held up. But I'm trying to see what I can do about the pin guide. It reduces a lot of bending, but it will still bend. I'm probably going to connect the back of the grey rod to the handle somehow. Also if you need more pics don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks! The word "Raz1r" I got off my cousin's stuff, ex: it's his Xbox Live username. My Black Ops username for the Wii is Raz1r Bull3t, I just added the "knex" in there because I like to knex. :D
Here are the pictures of mine I promised, hope it works for you! You don't need a band on the bullet lock, the grey connector underneath it pushes it up. Any problems give us a comment.
Hey, do you still have the Zaktangle? Because I made some pretty cool mods that make it work more efficient. If you do, do you want me to post some pics?
Okay, change those two red cons in the middle of the charging handle to gray/yellow connectors and put a white rod on top where shown. I find this helps a lot for a couple of things which I'm not going to bother explaining. Just do it. Next, change that dark gray con on the mag to a modded orange con because I've had a problem where the charging handle's gray rod gets caught on a yellow rod and pulls it back with it when pulling it back causing it to break a bunch of things. Not sure if you have that problem, but i did. So this prevents it. Last, is a pin new pin guide connection which I find better than the other one for the back of the pin guide. Note how the black cons are connected to the middle yellow connector. A white rod goes on both sides of it. You may have to put a rubberband around it to hold it down for when you pull back.
I see that the yellow cons would spread the impact over a larger area, thus allowing more band to be used, good one. As of the mag, that never happened but I did have the grooves of the bolt locking into the grooves of the ammo, so the whole pin would jam, so I had to take out the mag each time it did that. This is problem that happened on every ZKAR i have made, I found the solution to it was to use a weaker mage pusher band. As for the pin guide, it is a trick nut to crack, because the perfect position for it is a compromise between yours and Zak's placement, in between the 2 connections on the yellows. I will try these out.
I actually had the problem with the mag as you just explained, but even I tried a weaker band and it still happened, but the mod works for me. Hope you like the mods.
Thanks for the link to that stuff, because there is something I've been wanting to build but never got a clear view of how it was all put together. I'll give you a pic when I'm done.
To be fair I was actually thinking about putting a turret on that pistol but I was building that at the same time I was making the Halo battle rifle so I didn't have any parts to do that.
Hey, you're still building the Zakbow thing, right? Because I'm having problems with figuring out how the middle part of the bow where the pin type thing goes through is constructed. Could you perhaps take pics if you figure it out? Thanks.
Thanks again for the pics, they helped a lot. Although I have the turret and the gun is built but I can't seem to figur out the rotating mechanism for the turret. Do you have it figured out and built, because if you do I would appreciate some pics of it. Thanks.
Sorry mate, I didn't build it but I had an idea that I didn't try out. My idea was that a white snowflake connector on the shaft, and a grey clip on one of the blue rods on the barrels, this would click against the connector and would have an elastic on it. Like the TR ratchet, but smaller, and on the inside of the turret.
I whipped this together in 5 mins, and it works GREAT. It doesn't need a band, and the turret only need s 1 piece replacing. I only did 3 barrels to test the ratchet. It is a strong ratchet, and needs a bit of a shove to turn. You should be able to work it out...
The mech is cool, but I'm having a problem. After firing, if you turn the turret it locks on the shot after the shot that you're needing to fire. So, it only locks on 4 shots on the whole turret. Is there a certian way you have to turn it, because I turned it both ways and still doesn't work. Do know what the problem might be?
Awesome, the rotating mech works great. I found out what the problem was, but I now have another problem. i did what you told me to do by rotating it and waiting for 2 clicks and then fire, but the thing is the barrel doesn't line up with the pin guide type thing and so the pin hits the thing barely so I get a 1 foot shot then. Do know what the problem might be?
P.S. Sorry about all the trouble I've been giving you, it's just I really want this gun to work because I like its mech and the fun of having a crossbow design.
Never mind, I found out what the problem was. I had the grey connector facing the wrong way. I stringed a band through the grey con though because I want ed to make sure it stayed in place, and now it works like a charm. Thanks for all the help you've given me. I'll give you a pic soon of the turret bow. I can't say I'll give it to you tomorrow because I'm pretty sure you live on the other side of the world in Ireland? Correct me if I'm wrong. But anyways when I wake up tomorrow in my time zone I'll get you a pic. I might give you a pic of my whole arsenal of weapons but not now because I'm building a gun.
Ah, wait, I think I know. Make sure the tan connector is lined up vertically, and slots into the snowflake connector on a rod clip, not on the small v shapes in-between these. This way, the turret should line up
Nice work! I will stick with by knex bricks piece- it is brilliantly accurate. With my cheek rested on the stock, I looked at the tip of the sight at an object 5 metres away, and it hit EXACLTY where I was looking! Also, because it has a slit down the middle, you can take into account longer ranges as well, so if you wanted to shoot 10 metres, look into the middle of the slit, and 20 metres the bottom.
