About I come from the 1980s. 81 Specifically. I great up with all the greats: Nintendo, Transformers, Thundercats, TMNT, Ghostbusters, Silverhawks, Sega.
...and more.
I started Recycled Retro up out of a "What if" concept. I managed to heavily modify an Atari Joystick into a clock. Not an easy tast. Lots of patience required...and I have very little. From there...I was hooked.
Every piece of vintage gaming gear I laid my eyes upon, I started seeing possibilities. After making numerous prototypes, and basically harassing my friends, and family for feedback, I was forced to realize that people not only thought they were cool, but basically demanded them.
After making them out of the stock I had, and trying (and failing) to refuse money for them, I was badgered into offering them for sale online.
I make enough money doing so to keep up my development and that's about it. That's all I really want. I keep them priced low because it's not about making the money as much as it's me being able to say, "Yeah...all over the world, I have over 100 of my creations sitting on keychains, around necks, sitting in living and computer rooms."
I'm proud to be able to share some of my creations with everyone. I hope that they enable people to develop their own ideas even more. I'd love to see this get off the ground!
