I'm working on my pibooth and got lost at step 7. Am I entering code and which folder does the photos need to be in?

I made a second picture frame and everything went fine. Thanks for your instruction. BTW please add the "s" in install in your command above; sudo apt-get intall cec-utils. I couldn't figure out why this wasn't working and discovered the s missing. Thanks again.

TJuTZu thanks for this awesome instruction. I created this masterpiece project for my coworker's new office. Unknown to me at the time, they don't have a network connection in their office. So, the monitor goes to sleep mode after running for a period of time. Does cron work when there is no internet connection? If not, is there any workaround?
Luke you rock. I really appreciate this easy to set up instructable. It took me about an hour to get everything up and running. I tried the alexapi thing but it didn't work out. To many errors to debug. Thanks a million.
So I used and it works fine; https://news.screenly.io/how-to-automatically-turn-off-and-on-your-monitor-from-your-raspberry-pi-5f259f40cae5# Turn monitor on0 7 * * 1-5 /usr/bin/vcgencmd display_power 1# Turn monitor off0 20 * * 1-5 /usr/bin/vcgencmd display_power 0
I did the same thing and shut off, but when it came back on it doesn't start the slideshow.
I made a photo frame for my coworker's new office. He loves it, but I need to figure out how to turn it on/off at 6:30-5:00pm. Everything I read, says crontab don't work. Do you know?

I love this project. Great job. I used my iCloud calendar, but the switch script you have is for Google keyboard shortcut. I am a newbie to python code, but I copied yours and added the Apple keyboard shortcuts. Did I write it correct? Thanks for your help in advance.
Awesome project. Thanks for sharing.
