Raspberry Pi Class
A mosfet is required because we cant connect the motors directly to the arduino This is because we need 12v power supply to operate the motor while arduino provides only 5v If we try supplying 12v through the arduino the arduino might malfunctionThis is where the mosfet comes in ...it connects the motor to arduino so that it can be controlled and also to a 12v battery for proper functioning of motor without passing the current from the 12v battery through the arduinoAlso thanks for viewing this instructable ...I hope it helped
