Tell us about yourself!
We had the same problem when we bought our house, our water is very mineral rich and the original owners never installed a water softener (a MUST in our area) and they were here for about 3 years, the sinks and toilets had really bad rust stains on them. "harsh chemical cleaner intended to remove calcium, lime and rust deposits" that's what I used, but I used one of those green plastic scouring pads instead of a brush....... I wish I would have thought of the gloves though.
Ive been wanting to do something like this for awhile, I was just going to do a board with dowels in it, this old window idea is way better. You got my vote!
Trump has 100X the respect that Obama had on a global scale. There are news sources other then CNN, Steven Crowder is a good start to getting real news. Or just stay misinformed and hating your country!
Im 5'10" my daughter is about 5' and we both fit it just fine so you would probably want to stretch the base a few inches, The plan was/is to install a racing seat on slides http://www.ebay.com/itm/PVC-LEATHER-HIGH-HEAD-RED-... which should give you all the adjustment you would need. you can also check your local junk yard for a car seat, my local yard pulls all the glass out so all the seats are moldy.Do you use Google SketchUp? it's free. That .skp file I uploaded will give you all the measurements using the tape measure in the program
There are GPS speed apps available for smart phones, I use HUD on Android for my 4 wheeler and boat. these apps will work on old no service phones as well.
DukeJustice with that throttle set up it would be easy to govern this to half throttle. Just add a long bolt under the pedal with a locknut. Set it where you want, tighten lock nut, as he grows and gets better at driving it turn the bolt down and give him more throttle to use.
Digital Wall Calendar and Home Information Center
I have not seen motorcycle controls for video games like my wheel and pedals, though there are some games/software for commercial simulators and arcade games available if you did make the motorcycle simulator. you could make the sim by tearing down a xbox 360 controller and use its components for steering, throttle, brake and leaning. If you do ever get around to doing this Id love to see it, even help with the tech stuff if you need it!
Building Better Cornhole Boards!
Try posting these things on Freecycle, EVERYONE should be a part of their local Freecycle group. I always post on my local Freecycle for broken/outdated electronics wanted. I get 2-3 lcd tvs every year that only need $2-$3 worth of Capacitors replaced. I get tons of desktop pc's ( some are newer and only require a fresh windows install) and about 25% of them get fixed/upgraded then re-Freecycled

Thanks Jason, A setup like this is a must for racing games, I built this to play GT6 on PS3, but after building it I started getting into PC games like iRacing. I started this about a year ago with plans of adding a racing seat, the broken office chair I used to mock this up worked so well I just don't see spending money on that for now. Ive also been putting off painting this some reason, but now that its a featured item on Instructables I think I now have good reason to paint this and run the wiring inside the pipes this weekend, then add some updated pics. This is just a starting point though, after building this pod you can start removing the buttons from the shifter and wheel, then make a dashboard with realistic key ignition, nitrous toggle switch, real hand brake (pull one from ...see more »Thanks Jason, A setup like this is a must for racing games, I built this to play GT6 on PS3, but after building it I started getting into PC games like iRacing. This is just a starting point though, after building this pod you can start removing the buttons from the shifter and wheel, then make a dashboard with realistic key ignition, nitrous toggle switch, real hand brake (pull one from a junk yard), also you can run a app for iPad that turn it into a gauge cluster for iRacing and thousands more hacks. I think I may try doing a new hack on this every month with its own instructable, Ive also been planning drawing this up in SketchUp, so that will be edited into this instructable soon.
