    Concrete and Wood Slab Table

Love the color you got into your concrete. I should have added more pigment but the gray goes nice with the rest of the place. I built mine in much the same way, lag bolts into the wood with a mesh attached to the bolts. The underside is not pretty at all. The shape is such that we can get into the kitchen from the living room easier. Not wanting to electrocute myself, I dry sanded down to 180 grit, covered with sealer.and then polyurethane over the concrete. sanded and coated two more times and it feels like glass. We love it. a few concerns: When the concrete dried there was a little shrinkage and it pulled about a millimeter away from the wood and has left a slight gap. And the weight. definitely a two or three person job to move it anywhere. I do think I need cross bracin...see more »Love the color you got into your concrete. I wish I would have seen it sooner. Cheers
