:)))) I'm so happy w the result, too!! Thanks again!! I'm currently away from th beach bc I came back up north (FLA to WI, USA) for some surgery... Easy crafty stuff like this is keeping me sane thru all th appts and such!!
:))) yay!! Will do once I have some time to be the artist I really am.... :))) (got some surgery coming up, so might have some "arTime" coming depending on how it goes).
Me too! I LOVE paper crafts!! I'm particularly impressed that you gave us an alternative to making our own frames... Two identical picture frames! Awesome! Makes handmade paper sound and look SO much more accessible to those of us who do t necessarily want to make our own frames. Great solution!!! Totally going to try this bc I've always wanted to make my own paper... From cardboard, newspaper, you name it! Just wanna make it myself!
Yeeessss!! I made a seascape based on this "instructable!" (I just used narrower layers of torn paper and blues n greens... I'm an ocean girl, so I loved this project and that the instructions gave me juuuust enough leeway to accept this creative challenge, my way! Yay, instructables!!! I knew that if I got enough instructable emails, there wld be that one project that came along that wld come out so awesomely!! Thank you for the ideas!!!
Gonna do the sock bun too... The repurposed orphaned sock ideas post is what got me here, after all!
Whoaaaaa! Yeah! I can totally follow these tutorials... The figure-eight bun is a little harder, but the rest?? AaAWESOME!! I have suuuuper thick, suuuuper wavy shoulder-length hair n (before I get it cut short) I'm totally gonna try th Chinese bun w a hair stick or two... I love using funky swizzle stix in my hair!! I'm currently loving some sea life swizzle sticks... This is gonna rock! I love the braided Chinese bun, too... Maybe I'll take pix if the buns look cool... Thanks!!!!!
Knitting is scary to a leftie like me!!! I make my old sweaters into "hopefully- up, maybe-just- re) cycled or repurposed dolls that occasionally turn out looking like cats... It's fun n sewing is SOOOOO much easier than knitting, so I hope that my friends and family like them... I got the inspiration when I lived in Madison, Wis. I can't remember her name right now, but there was a local artist who made AMAZING repurposed sweaters into INCREDIBLE cats... I got one for my birthday and hung it on the wall so he wld stay perfect forever!!! Yay!!!
I'm a lefty, so knitting ANYTHING is always backwards to me!! :))) I like this idea, but I can't imagine broomstick knitting needles!!! Gonna try sth similar that "makes a little more sense" to me as a southpaw!! Thanks for th idea inspiration!!!
One idea I'd like to try, but it calls for so many lonely socks (if I want the pillow I'm imagining!!)! I live in Fla., so I don't wear as many socks as I did when I lived in WI... Got a lot of 'em stored up, so maybe I WILL try to make a really eclectic, awesome pillow!! Love the hot-pack idea, too! :))))
The catnip toy is my favorite... I've made so many of the orphan-sock cat toys over the years and they're a definite must-have for my two cats!! I like the ponytailers and scarf ideas too... For really awesome (but orphaned) knee-highs!!! :))
Great idea and great results!! I, too have a loathsome light fixture n have begun to consider creative covering options... Thanks for the inspiration!
