Great way to keep your tools in plain sight if you use them on a daily basis..better than storing them in a dirty old tool box anyways.
Looking at the tech specs for the Glowforge it's probably best suited to your needs. If your business does well you can always upgrade down the road but the Glowforge is perfect as a starter pack. In terms of safety...do you have a garage or a less accessed room in your house that you can store the laser in? I wouldn't be too worried about the light accidently hurting anyone unless you get a laser with a pass-through door where it is possible for a random reflection from the laser to make it outside the case.
NFC Bentwood Ring
neat hack..but does it work??
to add to my previous comment if it was unclear, I would use the floral foam in place of the regular foam.
you might be able to "carve out" a half dome shape from the floral foam using one of the plastic half circles as a guide and then the foam itself can be used as a mold to hold the power brick.Just throwing out ideas here
Neat idea! not sure how well this would work out in practice but floral foam which is pretty light weight might work just as well?
Sure, if you wanted it to be an exact replica from the movie..but if you were going for a more centerpiece-ish look I'd opt for the red rose.
Great idea. imo a red rose with those fake rain drops might look a little more realistic and fancier but thanks for sharing!

Brilliant build but it might help to show the step by step instructions for the rest of us to follow along?
Nice work! Might I suggest if you want to amp it up a bit, you could use nicer wood with defined grain, top it off with a nice dark finish and some polyurethane to make it last.
