My website is nothing to do with anything you would normally see here at Instructables, but it's the only one I have. :) It's a gallery of images I created with Bryce 3D. Feel free to look, comment or contact me about any of the images if you wish.

You have'nt really thought this through have you. The first things to get stolen are phones, laptops, pc's, tv's etc. You might as well store it on top of the laptop and leave a note saying "help yourself". :)

Whatever device you plug in will take the amount of current it needs to operate correctly. If you plug a 12 Volt 2 Amp device in to a 12 Volt 100 Amp power supply it will still only use 2 Amps. The only time any device will use more current than it should do is if it is faulty with something like a short circuit or incorrect voltage. If you plug a 12 Volt 2 Amp device in to a 12 Volt 1 Amp supply then you will have problems because the device will try to take 2 Amps from the supply that it needs and probably blow a fuse or other component in the supply.

You can find them inside old broken microwave ovens. But you may need to use smaller bearings depending on the size of the hole in the magnet. You also need to use caution when removing them. There are some hazardous things in there. Especially the large capacitor and the creamic piece that goes through the magnets. try not to break that as you take the magnets off.

I would'nt use the first one for soldering static sensitive components like laser diodes. It does not have a Grounded Tip as it only has 2 pins on the mains plug.As you can see in this extract taken from an item on EBay. "Attention: The following practices should be followed to minimize damage to static sensitive devices.1. Discharge personal static before handling devices. Use grounding wrist strap.2. After removing from anti static packing. Handle laser diode by the body.3. Do not slide laser diode over any surface.4. Only grounded tip soldering irons should be used."

You can eliminate the sag by using fully supported linear rails similar to these.

To stop spike from the relay when switching on and off you should have a diode across the relays coil pins.

How do you get the 2 Y motors to work in opposite directions. Because obviously one has to rotate clockwise and the other anti-clockwise. If they both go the same way they would be trying to go in opposite directions.

You still need the laser diode from a DVD BURNER/WRITER). Boosting the current in to a laser diode from a DVD player (DVD ROM) will probably only burn it out and turn it in to an led.

Hi sezgingul. Nice project.I would just like to point out 1 little thing which is incorrect. You say that if you use a DVD Rom you can use the laser. But a DVD Rom is only a DVD reader. The laser is not strong enough to burn because it only has to read the DVD's not change them. You need the laser from a DVD Writer / Burner which is more powerful.

But what we are concerned with is maximum current. The voltage spec of the motor doesn't really matter, using the EasyDriver. (Or any chopper driver, for that matter.) The EasyDriver will ramp up the voltage to the coil until the _current_ reaches the maximum set with the pot (max of 750mA). Then it will cut the power to the coil until the current dips down again, then re-apply power, over and over again, about 20,000 times per second. Any motor that's rated for 150mA/coil (or more) will work with the Easy Driver just fine, no matter what it's voltage rating. Note that if your motor is rated for less than 750mA/phase, you should adjust the current set pot on the EasyDriver to dial down the maximum coil current to match your motor."

    How to Solder Easily

What do you mean by item 4. Tin.You need a soldering iron, solder and flux or flux cored solder, and a circuit board and the components you are fitting. Make sure the component leads and the solder pad are clean, if the solder bubbles when you apply it, it is usually because 1 or the other or both are dirty. That can cause dry joints/bad connections.Make sure you heat the component lead and the solder pad equally befor applying the solder. If one is cooler than the other you can get dry joints/bad connections. You would also get a cleaner result if you used flux cored solder instead of seperate flux and solder.

    What are diodes?

In your video you have the current flowing anti clockwise, in to the cathode of the diodes. That is not possible. Current flows from anode through the diode to the cathode.. please correct it as it is misleading for beginners. The diode will not conduct with a reverse voltage (a reverse bias) applied. Once the voltage is applied in the forward direction (positive to anode and negative to cathode) again, current will flow; in this case as the voltage is increased more current flows.

Thanks very much Sutty5. Nice idea for people who want to learn about electronics. Reading about something is one thing but having it explained and being able to see it in action makes it much easier to understand.

If that is so, then the definition of a pendulum is incorrect. But it's not.Definition of a Pendulum is: A weight hung from a fixed point so that it can swing freely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PendulumIt's clever but I have no idea why they call it an inverted pendulum, it is really not a pendulum.
