T3 stands for nothing. T3h is synonymous to Teh which is synonymous to The. Yeah, I've been around for a while. I'm also an intern and part of the Feature Team.

Haha, no, I'm not one of those guys. T3h (pronounced Teh) makes it harder for people to find me, if they heard of something that I have..... done..... by the name of Teh Muffinator. Also, it makes me 1337, and thus I am an E-leet muffinator.

Hey Labot!

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about us! I've been a bit busy, and even though school will be over in (exactly) 1 month, teachers have decided to issue massive final projects for us lucky seniors. I'm working on three very awesome projects for the Let It Glow contest, and I hope I'll get all of them done on time. I've got a research fair in a couple of days though, and I'm no where near ready for it X.X It's not really my fair, though - I'm mentoring two juniors, who desperately need guidance in their work.

Anyhow, I won't ever forget about Instructables, and I'll try to keep within the community as much as I can. Man, I love this place =).

Proj X is done I'm going to try and post it asap... it's just..... friggin' school....

Well, turns out that the first few Instructables that I made all placed/won their contests, and by the quality of my Instructables, Eric and Christy guessed that I was a college student. They e-mailed me and offered me a internship, even though I was only 16 at the time!

The Macro setting allows you to take really clear images up-close. Usually there's a switch or setting labeled by a flower, and close by there's one labeled by a mountain. It's the flower that you want =)

It sounds good, but I'm afraid I can't. I have no time left to donate to making instructables for now - I have much bigger problems. I'll be back sometime in the middle of February. If you want help w/ electronics, ask zachninme - he's awesome.

Hey Joe! My school actually calculates GPA's on a really odd 8 pt scale.. but I'll just cut it in half. It's a 3.8 something, not too amazing, but that also includes the B+'s that I got in gym and health, for not wearing the "right type of pants" and for correcting my teacher one too many times when she made grammar errors or spelling errors. Sigh.... stupid mandatory courses! Anyhow, If you're interested in going to MIT, definitely work for it! You can do it!

No problemo! My sats came out to 2050 - which really isn't that great. I took them twice and just couldn't pull my writing grade up high enough. CR: 660 Math: 780 Writing: 610 I also took SATII's : Bio - 730 Chem - 770 Math I - 720 X_X Physics - 800 Math II - 790 X_X (You should get an 800 on this, the curve is huge) I took the ACT's twice, and did much better on the first one I took. I got a 32 and 30, respectively, which really aren't great either. I don't think it was my grades that got me into MIT, but my teacher recommendations (can't forget Eric and Christy) and my extracurricular activities that got me in. For instance, I developed a baseline latex-based non-toxic paint product for a flame retardant company two summers ago, and I've been involved in numerous science competitions. It's really important to show your devotion and drive in everything you do. I started a footbag club at my school, and am president of the Auto club, I'm a huge part of science olympiads, I'm in mathletes, I help out my mom with her special ed sports classes, and tons of other stuff - plus, I'm in this awesome community of awesome people that we know as Instructables. Really just convey yourself through your essays, and if you can, get an interview. I wore my beating LED heart shirt to my interview (luckily he didn't think it was a bomb), and he turned out to be an electrical engineer, which was awesome! Also, MIT wants interesting people - so MAKE YOURSELF INTERESTING. Don't write lame formal essays - unless that's your style! I wrote as if I were speaking, and it seemed to work for me. Haha, of course! I'm going to be majoring in course 6, EECS, which stands for Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. MIT is probably the best place to go for Electrical Engineering, and I have been dreaming of coming here ever since I was your age! Actually, I first learned about it from my Science Olympiad coach in 7th grade. She told one of the 8th graders that he was so smart and he should go there because he made a lunch-box amplifier on his own. He was my idol at the time, so I decided that I really wanted to go there too! As it turned out, he became a druggie and now goes to NYIT, (New York Institute of Technology), and I'm the one going to MIT! Anyhow, if you're interested in going, start working for it now! Get involved in your community, make lots of awesome stuff, teacher yourself electronics and most importantly, make sure that you love what you're doing.
