Measure Capacitance With Arduino
Really useful instructable. My multimeter cannot measure capacitance and so this will surely help me. Thanks for posting!
Hi,I've made this circuit using a 100nF capacitor since I didn't have a 470pF one. The circuit works but, the motor continuously spins (even at the slowest position) and the difference in the speed of the motor at the fastest and slowest position(of the potentiometer) is very slight. Also my transistor (BC-547) gets extremely hot and at one point bursted and gave out a lot of smoke. Why would this be happening? I have wired it properly. Also, can you tell me how does the value of the capacitor affect the PWM.Thanks
Hello,I tried inserting the audio jack and manually connected the the GND and MIC wires, however even with the app running the shutter isn't activated. Can you tell me how I could trouble shoot this problem? Or, is there any other way I can trigger the camera using the Arduino?Thanks

Thanks for telling me, but why does this happen? I am quite new to electronics and so don't know too much about the working of transistors. Also you said that the voltage the emitter would be 5v - voltage drop made by the diodes. So, does that mean that the source voltage doesn't as the voltage over 4.4V would be wasted as heat? Would this cease to happen if I used a mosfet?Thanks.

Thanks. Yes I could use power mosfets but I didn't have them at home. Transistors for small DC motors like the ones I have work fine.

Hello,Wonderful instructable and really helps understand logic gates. Though I have a question about the cmos inverter. Why do you need the n-type mosfet in it? As, when HIGH is given to the gate of the p channel mosfet it is off (no connection between the drain and source) and so the output is LOW. When LOW is given to the gate of the p channel mosfet it is on (connection between the drain and source) and so the output is HIGH. So why do you need the n channel mosfet in the cmos inverter?Thanks
