5 Ways to Remove a Stripped Screw

I had to remove a wood screw that some over zealous individual used when they attempted to fix the arm on a nice rocking chair. In this case the entire head of the screw was broken off completely so there was little if anything to grab onto. I got out a 1/8" drill bit and slowly drilled a series of holes around the screw so that the end result looked like the cylinder on a revolver. Then, I tapped a standard screw driver into the area between the holes to brake the wood. I cut a small piece of 1/2" dowel the length of the hole's depth, squeezed all around the dowel with the teeth of a standard set of pliers to put grooves into the dowel to hold my wood glue, then glued the dowel in place. A perfect fit that gave me a nice place to screw the new screw into (after I drilled a pilot hole to prevent everything from splitting. Job done and everything was neatly hidden.

    Epoxy -vs- Tshirt = Artwork

My 40 year old son doesn't need this Instructable. He still has all of the t-shirts he acquired since high school...and continues to wear so many of them. I need an Instructable for him to see on how to get rid of his old t-shirts.
