My mom makes something similar, only she uses kraut, not cabbage. We might have to give this one a try!

Eeeek, you made me realize I forgot to put the 2 T of lemon juice per quart! I will modify my instructable to reflect that. Thanks for the info. I have not had any issues with this recipe. I hope it doesn't keep you from trying! Thanks again!

Looks, great! I am going to try them out. How soon are they ready after you put in oil in fridge?
Thats what I plan to do. When I make "end of the garden pickle mix" I put celery in, and I love the taste, so I think it would be similar. Which makes me think now.....I make try some "bloody Mary end of the garden pickle mix"! Thanks for giving me another inspiration!
