So I was admiring your laser tattoos, and wondering if they lasted. I just got access to a laser cutter, and I was thinking about doing it, but if they don't last it doesn't seem worth the pain.
If you like stuff that blows up, take a look at This. I just made it. Unfortunately, there will be no updates to the program because the guy that made it killed the website where it was hosted
Food coloring usually works, but for red, strontium nitrate, for blue, copper sulfate, for yellow, barium nitrate. But If you cant get those chemicals, use food coloring.
I'm sorry, please disregard that. I did some research and food coloring will not work. Use synthetic indigo or aniline based dye. Both are found in craft or hobby shops.
hey Tetranitrate i got a couple wine bottles left over from new year's; i want to blow the corks out somehow. i want to use something stronger than vinegar and baking soda, but not as strong as C4. any suggestions?
flash powder make sure to mix in sulfur and then mix it with a steel rod hahaha please don't try that. I don't want to be sued. jokin man. dry ice sounds good
Congratulations on being in the latest issue of make!!! To Cool! (the latest issue isn't on stands btw, I just have an in... and by in I mean I can read the table of contents on the site. haha)
... so because a few of my projects and methods coincide with those shown on united nuclear, you qualify it as stealing? You do realize that most of these experiments have been around for hundreds of years (ex: how to make gunpowder)? So to say I stole an experiment is just idiotic. A more accurate (yet still wrong) thing to say would have been that I stole some of UN's methods. Although, I will not deny that UN has been a huge inspiration to me over the years. They were the first place to supply me with the chemicals I had previously only dreamed of owning. They were the first ones to show me that these types of experiments can be conducted by mature adults as opposed to the vast majority of (what seemed like) dyslexic eight year olds with anger issues posting to sites like rotten eggs. They were the reason in my junior year in high school I received a letter from the US Department of Justice saying that I was under investigation (I later found out from an article in WIRED that this was because UN had been raided, and had all their computer records confiscated). So because of the huge inspiration UN has been to me, it is inevitable that some of their methods appear in my work from time to time.
What was the Department of Justice investigating you for? Ordering chemicals certainly isn't a crime. I think the US gov has too much time and power on their hands.
got a point there. and if anything, your helping UN by basically advertising them through these intructables. i actually just put in an order for thermite ingredients, along with some other metals. im tryin to make an instructable with the nichrome wire they just got. see if you can do one too. and check your inbox, left you a message for an instructable. if i had KNO3, then i would do the instrucable myself. sadly, UN doesnt have any, only garden shops. just tore down one near my house, and the nearest one is 10 miles away
yes you are right!!!! and UN probably 'stole' those experiments. anyway if you dont 'steal' the experiments and past them on then they could be lost forever!!!!
hey Tetranitrate I kind of regard you as a knowledgeable person on instructables if you could look over my instructable and tell me were it could use improvement that would be great. Oh and if you like it please vote. thanks, iamrobot P.S i only have one instructable shouldn't be that hard to find ;)
ok, I have third place because I got the number in 5 tries, look at the instructable it is on.... There was someone who got second place with 2 tries, and mrmucox got it in 1 try
I'm confused with United Nuclear how they say something about internation shipping. All I want to know is a simple yes or no if they do it. And if they dont, can you get an American resident to buy it then ship it to you? Can someone please help me? Great instrucables Tetranite, I check every day for new ones.
United Nuclear doesn't take orders outside the United States. That's a no to international shipping. It's a legal thing. I'm sure if you did have Americans help you get that stuff out of the country, it would be illegal in some way.
my dad is a nano-physicist, his dad was a computer engineer who introduced one of the first early computers into china (the ones that are as big as warehouses) his dad was a mathmatician who taught at berlin university in germany. smartness, genius, and most importantly CLEVERNESS runs through my blood, so you should let me into your clever people group, if you don't, then the group is not for REAL clever people like me.
Hi tetranitrate! ichipoodle on the scene for a couple minutes here. I'm concerned about axea's match rocket instructable, as everyone is accusing him of being a copycat and a high-voiced bit-- (you can guess the last 2 letters =/ ). There's been LOT'S of flaming, even people calling people " four letter words " If you could please settle the matter as soon as possible, it'd be very appreciated; because i can only flag so many comments before people call me a tattletale ;) Thank you for your time, and have a nice day. /ichipoodle
I have been trying to charge a flash capacitor and have no idea which lead is positive & which is negative. On one side of the capacitor is a grey strip W/ rectangle boxes down it. do you know if this is the + or - lead. p.s. your instructables kick ass
You ROCK!!!!! i am trying out heaps of ur instructables and the tennisball mortar is my fav, im going to make a container that it can fire and while its in the air it splits open, then i will fill it with all kinds of things, flour for a huge shower as it falls, mayb a romotecontrolled bomb to set off up there, calthrops ect. dude u rock keep it up!!
Dude you have made some pretty cool instructables. I'm particularly a fan of your taser glove and blowgun. Thats some pretty cool stuff. Mind adding them too my group? I would be proud to display your work.
h i have a quick question about the barcode instructable what where the sizes in terms of ECC LEVEL,BAR WIDTH,COLUMS,ROWS AND H:W. i couldnt figure it out i tryed for a couple days messing around with diffrent ones ps i have new york license
Seeing as how I can't think of any explosives experts, I figure you are the next best thing? (And you are just a click away, after all :P). The following pertains to your thermite instructable: I can't seem to get a straight answer as to whether glucose will work as a substitute for glycerine (glycerol). (Or perhaps just cane sugar?) I am trying to make a suitable ignition substance for my "ghetto-thermite." I have enough potassium nitrate and potassium permanganate to level a small city, but I am at a loss for the actual fuel?. I am aware that iron has a melting point of just under 2000 Celsius, (about double that of aluminum), but could I use iron filings instead of aluminum powder?
The thermite reaction's a chemical reaction, if you swap any of the reactants for another another chemical, chances are it won't work. Iron and iron oxide won't do anything, no matter how much you try and light it
