Thanks, after you reverse work you continue on from there. It becomes easier to see which direction you should be going as you get further along.

I have done basic tutorial videos, but I have no plans to do so for something this complex, sorry. Yes, mirroring is just doing the exact opposite of what you've just done, all the counts and joins are the same and the pictures should clear up any confusion.
View Instructable »Honestly, I'm confused by your question. I don't know what you mean by 'change'. I assume you're asking about step 5. The first chain of that section is joined to both the chain from the first round and the clover as it the last chain of the round as shown in the photos. It is symetrical and that is why I simply said to mirror the instructions.

Yes, the rings should be the same size in the first round. They are both 3-3-3-3, so it's likely that either you've miscounted or simply tatted one of them tighter than the other.

I use Beacon Stiffen Stuff, but there are plenty of good brands. Just make sure whatever you pick doesn't discolor your thread.

You can tie off the centers or you can make the last picot a mock picot by tying the threads together at the same length as the other picots and then continue the next round from there, which is what I do.I'm not quite sure what you're referring to as joins on the left or right, but as far as these chains are concerned, you tie without reversing and continue working around the daisy in the same direction.

I used 20 craft wire, but the using that exact size isn't vital.

Thank you! I've never measured the length of my tails, I usually just play it by ear. Since the piece is made from smaller motifs you shouldn't need much for each section, maybe start with a foot for a daisy and then adjust to the right amount for the next one. You'll need a bit longer for the 'chain' portions, just guesstimate about how long they'll need to be and that should get you there.Sorry I couldn't give a clearer answer.

the default for most designs is to reverse work after every chain or ring, but you just need to look and see which direction the next element need to face. If it looks to be curving away, you reverse. If it's curving the same direction, you don't.
Since I'm not left handed, I really can't be of much help I'm afraid. I will say that like most fiber arts, knitting, crochet, etc., tatting is a two handed activity.
I get mine on Amazon or at HHtatting.com
