  • Basic recording and editing with Audacity

    Hi, May I offer something about losing an Audacity recording by changing it's name? Audacity tracks are not recognised outside and it seemed I had lost the recording (file). I went back into the Audacity Recent File list to the specific file and opened it, which should show the audio waveform. I highlighted the whole track which changes it's colour and means it's selected . I then clicked on Export Selection. You get the option to name it. Underneath it's usually marked as Wav. Save it. You get a box with a list for Artist Name, Track Name, etc.. Complete that if you wish. Click OK. The track will probably be found in Documents with the treble clef symbol.
