Thanks!Actually, yes, I had two main problems inserting the lights.1. The batteries kept sliding around in the holder and falling out. This I fixed with a bit of tape.2. Even though I tried to carefully bend the metal battery casing, I managed to crack the bamboo lid. its not too noticeable, but the light unit does tend to slip out at times.I still haven't come up with a good diffuser for the light yet, but I'm working on it.

Thanks for the great Instructable!Mine didn't come out nearly as polished as yours, but it was a pretty easy build, and kind of fun to make.I definitely need to weight it down, and come up with a way to stop the arms from slipping, but I enjoyed the process, and have some ideas for future projects with those nifty little lights! Thanks again!
Huge addressable RGB LED (ceiling) panel
Swanly,As the husband of a teacher and someone who works with middle school students, I totally agree with you. I have been thinking about creating something like this for years, but was afraid of it backfiring and being something the kids try to do on purpose. Here are a couple of my thoughts on it:1. If they get up to the red zone more than X amount of times a day/week, they have a consequence or lose a privilege.2. What about creating a high-frequency feedback that increases as the students get louder, so that when they get louder, so does the feedback?Just a couple of thoughts on it.Great project idea, Mr. Jones!

Thanks for the great ible! My inlaws surprised our girls with sand for a sandbox that was left at a house we bought. I had to come up with a cover before it turned into a litter box!I had some difficulty getting the screws on the right sides, and the back supports didn't come out even, but for the first real project I've ever done, I'm happy with it.Thanks again!
