    No More Roaches

Additional comment...I cut a paper towel tube in 4 pieces and put the butter inside and slid them behind large wood furniture pieces that I couldn't move to apply the butter to and one inside the cabinet behind my cable box/ blue ray player. Also wondering, does anyone know, are they able to actually get into the trash bag inside the stainless steal step lid kitchen trash cans?

I have lived in an apt complex in PA for about 8 yrs now (after owning a home for 24 yrs) and had never seen a roach in my life, until...June of 2016! I was cutting veggies and cooking dinner one night and out of NOWHERE one went running across my kitchen wall next to my stove!!! I grabbed my slipper and killed it. I had never seen one before, but I KNEW that's what it was. I was totally grossed out! Called my complex office next morning, they put me on the schedule for the bug company to treat that Thursday (this happened Sunday). To make a long story short, I continued to see one or two ever few day to a week, bug company has been out three different times over several weeks (ramping up their treatment each time). Called my complex office next morning, they put me on the schedule for the bug company to treat that Thursday (this happened Sunday). To make a long story short, I continued to see one or two ever few day to a week, bug company has been out three different times over several weeks (ramping up their treatment each time). I live on the lower terrace level and my apt is next to the laundry and storage areas in the front basement. It seemed like the little SOB's where slipping in under the crack of my front door that's in the hallway where you enter the laundry room as that's the area around where I was killing them. I kept telling the manager, their coming from the laundry area! (They were German's by the way). Complex installed a carpet sweep on the inside of my door. I doubled this by applying layers of white duct tape around the frame of my door until I couldn't see a sliver of light through any crack between the door and frame. I actually had already thought about those open holes under my sinks and toilet and had purchased the expanding spray foam which I foamed the heck out of the next day. Also bought clear caulk and worked on those areas over the next few days. Now I haven't seen one roach in over 4 weeks, but I'm not waiting for them to decide to visit me again! Was reading about boric acid powder when I ran across this ible. After reading for an hour or so, I went the next day and purchased the BA. Mixed up my honey butter (BA/ white flour & honey) and went to work today applying it everywhere. I did the outlet/ switch covers as recommended except about three that were behind big furniture, but I was able to get at least one or two covers on one side or the other of each wall treated as well as those that adjoined other Apts, so hopefully that does it. I even took my BA powder and butter to the laundry room and put some around in there as well as the hallway leading to my apt. I also put some butter out on my patio in the corner of the bricks by my patio door as I have seen many of the tiny ants in the flower bed next to the patio. I went out several hours later to sweep and noticed there were dozens of ants on the butter which I know is a good thing, but I had a moment of panic wondering whether the butter I had put around my apt would actually ATTRACT the roaches initially while it was in the first stages of doing it's job! Ewww...I sure hope not!! Hope I never see another one again!!! Oh and BTW, I also put the outlet protectors that cover the outlet holes in all outlets not being used....just in case.....I know, I'm OCD. :-)
