So... if you have a bunch of people in your company, who hate each other, you can just sit them in diametral position and they will not be able to see the person infront, because of the tree... genius!
Well, it's an option, but initially I was driven by the idea of using simple rectangular shaped piece of material to wrap it around kind of complex shape like a bottle with need to have only two dimentions instead of making patterns that fit only this particular bottle. So I tryed not to alter the rectangular shape in any way, but, yeah, it's not a dogma.
Nice. And it masks moldy parts too!

I've been experimrnting with this too some time ago. But I haven't had a jig, so I used two electric drills with ends of bag chain fixed in them and a centre fixed in yet another (handcrancked one)... It was frustrating, but when the result was fine it was great... but mostly frustrating... I don't recomend, it was a test...

Plaster will not do in this case, I think it will crumble too soon under the vibrations. Let me know what you're used and how it worked, if you'll have an opportunity. And thank you for your reply.
Well, then it's, definitely, better to use the heat gun, because it takes just a couple of seconds to heat the plastic string, while leather may still stay reasonably cool... I guess I never worked with veg tanned leather and currently don't have any to try, so, there's nothing I can say.
