I made the existing gels that you had listed now im wondering can I make color correction gels. you know like CTO CTB and the green ones for matching to florescents, ive become really cheap recently and dont want to spend much money on gels. I know you mentioned something about finding the standard color values, online. do you know where to find this, for cc gels. could you help me out? maybe you could make another Instructable on this.
Sorry, I'm not sure where you could find the specific values for CC gels. You might be able to find some info on a manufacturer's website.

Thanks =] I use a Nikon D50. My first camera was an s5100, and I was really happy with it. The s700 seems to be in the same line of cameras (and by now, better than what I have). If I were you, i'd go online, and:
1) Check out the reviews on bhphoto.com
2) Read a real review from somewhere like dpreview.com
The former will tell you how happy owners area with it, and the latter will highlight the pros and cons in a technical aspect. The main part to look over will be the conclusion (at least on dpreview) because they include a lot of advanced and technical tests that the average person won't understand/care about.
Check out my instructable on photography for some more information, including some on DSLR.

I currently use AHPlace.com. They're a post to host deal, so there's a certain number of posts on their forums required in order to keep your hosting. As for software, I only use SmartFTP for my FTP needs, and a little program called HTML Kit for writing the code.
