I was born in the 60s and raised in a very thrifty household that practiced recycling and upcycling, gardening and preserving, and crazy notions like seat belts and bike helmets. I come from a family of professional 'makers' of all kinds and I am never happier than when I am creating useful and beautiful things. My 'day job' that never really ends is writing & editing fiction. In between assignments and novels, I make things.
