Great project idea. What if you were to use a dovetail bit around the edges to undercut and lock in whatever material you use to fill the cavity. Thanks for sharing.

You do need to have a basic woodworking background to complete any of the projects on my website.

I have used this method for years and yes it works very well. Another alternative is to use thin CA glue (superglue). I also find the white glue instead of yellow glue doesn't leave the dark glue mark. Thanks for posting
