Well as a matter of fact, I just started V2! Check the slideshow for more info, and here's a pic (done in flash) of the current (pre-pre-alpha) version, which blocks out where stuff goes, and what space it'll take up (approx). (very rough idea)

Insert the firing pin and it should stop against the center piece of the trigger. Loop the band over the red rod of the firing pin and when you pull the firing pin back, the yellow piece should pull the band. I did include the firing pin switch, if you look at Step 11. Look at the note for the toggle. The switch is an orange connector with a blue rod with a grey/brown connector on it.
No. Once you have completed the trigger in Step 10, the rifle should look like the one in Step 11 but without toggle switch, brown connectors, and magazine.
