Digital Bandsaw Blade Tension Gauge
I thought one of the advantages of a spring in the tensioning system is that it keeps the tension on the blade mostly constant even if there is a high spot on the bandsaw wheels, or tires, or if saw dust gets between the blade and the wheel, or if the wheels are slightly out of true-round.Do you find that without the spring the indicated force changes with different positions of the wheels?
