Baby powder is a great choice if you don't want the curing acceleration that BS provides. However, the resulting compound is much softer, which is actually a great feature if you plan on sanding and painting it.
Eh, easy? Yes. Tedious? Also yes. What a PITA moving all those parts around. Once that's done, yes, it's easy, but sheesh, shoot me now to manually move a bajillion parts around to get to that point.
Wow. That's a load of work--both the robot itself and the instructable. Nicely done. I was surprised you went with PLA. You must've considered other materials. Why did you choose PLA over something more durable, e.g. nylon, PETG, etc.?

Cash. Consider adding a few hundred dollars (or equivalent cash for your area) to your BOB. Sure, this may be completely useless in an end-of-the-world scenario, but that's probably the least likely reason you'll need to bug out. If you're bugging out due to a reason where recovery is inevitable, e.g. a natural disaster, cash would be very handy.
