If you want to powered this using battery, you can use 5v dc boost converter
I think for the design is best using a small things like LEGO, pill bottle, a small doll, or anything! because the design is optional.To buy the component you can buy it on electronics store or if you want, you can buy it online. I don't recommend you using more than 5 volts, because maybe the chip will broke.

And the seller recommend me to buy the LCD and all of the components and he talk to me how to make it. so buy this and the seller give me all of the component. so i make it and upload the steps to my Instructables.
