Tools and Materials for CNC
I'm wondering how big you can go with magnets. Just doing a dome (half a sphere) might be difficult with magnets as connections. If you build a Icosaeder, it is wobbly until the last stick. With the last stick it becomes very rigid. So if you build a geodesic dome you might fix the bottom sticks to the ground to prevent wobblyness.
Very nice toy! I made almost the same formy godchild as christmas present. I used wooden sticks and glued magneticspheres on each end and covered it with liquid rubber (plastidip) for moregrip. With two different length (1:1.414 ratio) you can also build squares withdiagonals and cubes.
