This worked very well for me with one ball.Since I only have the original K'nex balls, I had to make a small change when two or more balls were placed on the entrance track. The second ball usually would jam.I have included a picture of the lift and a second picture showing the modification. It is very simple. I just removed one of the green connecters (of 8) and one of the orange connectors and pushed the outside wall to reduce the width where the balls sit.
K'nex Ball Machines That Have INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Great design! The semi-circle part really adds to the look of the lift. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Here is the video of it working.I modified the Ball Pickup Arms. The first picture shows the original on the left and the changes I made on the right and front. I added a "Y" clip as shown to move it away from the chain. This made the chain run a little smoother as it is completely straight. Then I had to removed one chain link and modified the back guide to tighten it up as it was still too loose. The other two pictures show the changes to stop the pickup arms from catching on the ramp as they are a little longer than before.Again, thanks for the instructions.Chris
Very well documented instructions. Had no trouble making this lift It's also very dependable. Has not dropped a ball.
I made this. It works very well. I like the way it pushes the balls up. I made a video of it lifting up 3 balls at a time. It handled them quite well.
Excellent project. Very pleased with this build.I made a couple of adjustments as shown in the two images below. In the entrance, I added the yellow connector. It eliminated the occasional ball jam I was experiencing. I thought about adjusting the ball feeder but this solved the problem for me.At the exit point, I added a white connector as shown in the second image. The balls were not landing on the exit ramp properly and this bounced them back onto the track.
I have now built all 5 of the "Element" series. I have enjoyed making them all. Thanks for all your work in creating them for us.I have included the video of this element. It works perfectly.

Documenting a Project
This is a great element. The instructions were nice and clear.I had a problem with some balls getting stuck in the entrance. If I threw them down, they went through OK but if I dropped them, sometime they got stuck.I've had this problem with other elements I've built. I'm not sure if the balls I use are slightly larger than normal. I do have a mixture of brand new and old used balls so I don't know what's the problem. However, I made a change to the entrance to make the opening a little larger and now it works perfectly. I've included some images to show what I did.
The video did not download for some reason so here is the Youtube video of it.https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=FvapHm51...
This is a fun lift to build. It runs smoothly and has not dropped any balls. It used up all my red gears so I now I have to buy some more. The instructions were clear and putting it together went quite well. I did download a couple of high resolution images (the original 4k by 3k) so I could see more detail of where things went. The
Just realized after I posted my comments and video that I also replaced the two red connectors at the top with two yellow connectors.
I made this yesterday and looked at the K'nex Big Ball Factory that I completed a few weeks ago and found the I could replace the 3 spinning wheels element with this one.All I need to do was exchange the yellow and white connectors at each end and replace the two white rods at the bottom with two blue rods and it fitted perfectly.
Sure go ahead. It's OK with me.Chris
Here is the video of the Maze Mania that I just finished building. I tried to copy the video to the message. But just in case that doesn't work, here is the Youtube link as well.

Knex Automatic Drawbridge Element
Great Instructions. A++ Enjoyed making this project. Works well. I have included a couple of videos.
Great detailed instructions with lots of images! A+I added some support at the side (picture attached) since the chain was pulling the arms off center and they were hitting the sides and jamming. Thanks for all your hard work in creating these instructions. The lifter works perfectly.
