Ha, thanks for tolerating my peculiarities.
"The notches and joints have a 1/64" tolerance on both sides to let the cardboard slide together nicely."I'm being a bit pedantic here, but what you're describing is a *clearance*, not a tolerance. Tolerance means something else. All in all, a great project. Kudos!!

From my understanding it is perfectly legal to take pictures of people if they are in public places. Driving on a public road is a public place. I'm not a lawyer, but I was a photojournalist for many years and you are fully allowed to take pictures of people in public.

Context and a sense of humor are necessary. Why else would I go out of my way to mention the absolute WORST thing you could do to any cast iron cookware? Indeed, dishwashers are HORRIBLE for knives, wooden cutting boards, and cast iron. Never put cast iron or wood in a dishwasher.
Indeed, as Jason said, linseed and flaxseed are the same.
now all you need to do is throw it in the dishwasher.
Linseed/Flaxseed oil is not toxic as far as I know. Mineral oil doesn't dry so it won't polymerize to seal the pores. Olive oil is a pore choice because it will eventually go rancid. Bacon fat is even worse. Some residue is fine, but I wouldn't "season" my pan with it. Gross.

I didn't say this wasn't easier. I said that for small volumes you can do the same thing for $60. I posted the info for people who may not be aware of the existence of an 'arbor press.'I'd like to have a Haas VF-3, but I'm not going to be able to afford that anytime soon. For now a bench top CNC will have to do.
Cool project but for most people this is complete overkill. You can get a 1 ton arbor press from Harbor Freight that does the same thing for $60. Just need to 3D print the bearing holder and the part fixture. https://www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-arbor-press-3552.html
You are right, that is faster! It's a really cool project, just wanted to give readers more options if their jobs are less than multiple thousand units. :D And I agree, the more automation the better! Congrats on your recent Kickstarter success. I'm launching an Indiegogo myself, soon.
You need to tie a special knot in your cord before going into the lamp holder. Otherwise, all the force from the hanging bulb and turning it on and off are on the electrical connections, which is a no go!"Underwriters Knot" (as in Underwriters Laboratory)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpdTG1-YJpM
