Haha, well right now it doesn't do much of anything. A friend of mine and I were having a contest to see who could build a more neat-o arduino enclosure this weekend, and that was the box I built for it.

It has that toggle switch (which is a bit...broken. It is currently operating in "jiggle the switch until it comes on" mode), and then a small speaker on the back.

The inspiration for the speaker was to troll one of my lab-mates. He loves "chip tune" music, which is like...recreations of old game boy music. I hate it, and I always tease him about how terrible it is, haha. The joke here would be that I would leave this in the lab with a note telling him that I made a cool musical instrument for him! And then it would just play awful tone melodies when he turned it on. Or perhaps just random beeps and blorps.

That joke seemed a lot funnier last night, so today at work I've been playing a bit with making a pink-noise generator.

Also: I /wish/ I could take credit for everything on that photostream! That's actually our lab's "public" camera. Anything taken with that camera gets automatically posted to flickr via an eye-fi card [an SD card with a wifi chip in it].

Thinking about it, though...I've been meaning to build a friend of mine a reverse-geocache box...and I think this would be the perfect enclosure for it! :-D
