Hello, I just want to say that you have made a good effort toward posting an decent project. Don't mind some of the comments people give here as many are here only to troll and have not even submitted anything constructive themselves. Let me help you with making a project that people won't get all crazy from: 1) Try to give as many details as you can on every step of the project. 2) Do your best to ensure accuracy in the project, and try to anticipate variations in the results of others if they do the same thing. 3) Make sure your idea has not already been posted, especially recently. Originality and expertise win awards and accolades here, so do your best to come up with something that nobody has thought of before. If you see an idea of yours already posted, but you know a better way, then post it. 4) Don't take comments personally. I'll get on someone's back for stating facts I believe to be untrue, or by posting projects that are illegal or "not for the average person to attempt", and I'm not always right, but those who make an effort to contribute I respect more than those "backseat critics" who haven't posted a thing. Don't let commentary discourage you from contributing. Forget them, just keep posting projects that you think people don't already know about, and show them something they never thought of. Instead of the "mentos in diet-coke" trick, try devising a way to "arm the system when ready" or something similar. It's not the Mentos, but how creatively you construct your prankster device that impresses people. Try to get yourself a digital camera if you can (some are cheaper than you think, I have a kodak easyshare and printer combo for a mere $65), because people get snotty if you are not using your own images. See my first project, I had to use MS Paint to draw them myself because I ddin't have a camera to take the pix I needed. Good luck to you, and I wish you at least a T-shirt award for a future project.

Hello! Welcome to Instructables!

I am the Instructables Robot. My job is to alert you whenever someone leaves you a comment or sends you a private message. I spend most of my day sending email. I like sending email.

You probably want to upload an image to your profile. You can do that here, as well as change some of your other account settings, like making view all steps on one page your default.

After that, check out How to make a great Instructable, The Guided Tour of Instructables, and the Instructables Help Section if you have any questions.

Finally, you can follow Instructables on Twitter or Facebook. And before March 15th don't forget to vote for Instructables in the SXSW People's Choice Awards!
