I don't know much about circuits, but I am dying to make a buzzie. Seems like a solar panel from a calculator and a tiny capacitor would be just the thing. What do you mean when you say "connected to a pic". How would one do this?

PICs are tiny computers. They come in 8 pin to 40 pin dips. They require programming. But you can get whats called a "Picaxe" that was developed in the UK for teaching computer programming. You can program in basic with a free complier . Check the web and search for "Picaxe". The ics are cheap, about 3 bucks!, Just one person I know of sells them in the USA. I made a buzzie board, just less than 1 square inch that holds a picaxe, buzzer and an led. I'm also making a picaxe controller/experimenters board that uses 3 AAA cells and allows programming. The board will turn on a few leds ,light sensor and buzzer. I will make them available as a kit if I can generate enough interest.

Do you know how I would be able to make a setup, in which 3 buttons are hooked up, and when 3 users are prompted to push the button, the first one pressed turns on a light, and blocks the other ones from coming on. Like on Jeopardy? Would this require a Pic?
