  • Build a Raspberry Pi-Powered Amazon Echo

I built this instructable and think it's great. Initially it was able to play music from my Amazon music account, but sadly a couple of weeks ago it reports that "Amazon Music is not supported for this device". Any idea what might have changed? It was nice to be able to listen to music when it worked.

I built this Instructable and it worked great. I liked it so much that I purchased a Matrix Creator and attempted to modify the project to use the Matrix Creators microphone array and LED's.I was not successful. Has anyone been able to get the microphone array to work with this project? There is an Instructable out there put together by the creators of the Matrix Creator but it doesn't use the "Always On" functionality. Any help or hints is greatly appreciated. Here is a link to the Matrix Creator web site in case that helps anyonehttps://creator.matrix.one/#!/index

Thank you for the suggestion. Do you mean for me to run the command as sudo? Also when I do it seems that the path for saving the file is wrong as it is "/tmp/crontab.zqqsKV/crontab" The reason I ask is that it does not seem to run after a reboot. Any additional help is greatly appreciated

Great Instructable. First one for me to complete. Is it possible to make an autostart file that will do steps 10-12 after a power cycle? Id like to be able to move my Pi_Echo into another room plug it in and once powered up be ready to respond to voice
