Is there a way to attach multiple LED lights to make them blink at different times. Or would this require a board like the ATTiny45?
Programmable LED Firefly Jar
Does anyone sell the board premade with the strings of lights? I can slap on a battery holder and a mason jar and lid but I'm new to electronics still.
Looks good now! Thanks!
All the images seem broken for this project.
Adjustable Voltage Step-up (0.7-5.5V to 2.7-5.5V)
Where did you get that transparent amber container that looks like a 9v battery? I would like to get some.
Thank you. The post is scheduled to post on Feb 15 at 4am. Check back for it then. :)
Hello, I'm writing a blog entry to post to your Instructable. Can I use one of your pictures in my post? Thank you.http://chuckrblog.blogspot.com/
DIY AA Batteries!
Thanks! I'm tryinig to look for a tutorial using an LED with a 3 position slide switch, OFF-ON-ON. So the first ON would be a bright light and the second a dim light. But I've been searching google for 2 hours and can't find anything with a 3 position slide switch. Can you make a tut about that? Thanks again! :)
"Joule Thief" Circuits, crude to modern...
How far is the focal point from the mirror?
"Joule Thief" circuit in a Flashlight Bulb? Yes!!!
Basic Joule Thief Flashlight
Have you plugged this into a battery power pack like for charging phones? Do you have any runtimes for different milliamp hour battery packs?

You could try a pre-made board <a href="http://www.ebay.com/itm/5V-Mini-USB-1A-Lithium-Battery-Charging-Board-Charger-Module-3285-/201644477771?hash=item2ef2f28d4b:g:5OkAAOxyjxlTMWrw">like this</a> on Ebay or Amazon.
Or use the Inkbird temperature monitor with external probe. I like mine. https://smile.amazon.com/Inkbird-Temperature-Fahre...
On one of your pictures near the top of this 'ible it looks like a circuit with a pre-made joule thief on it. Do joule thieves come pre-made? I'm having trouble finding spare parts to make one. I just don't have a lot of parts laying around.
There are pre-made dc-dc step-up convertors with a USB port already on them. Try this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291528517571?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. Input voltage is 0.9v to 5v, output is 5vdc. Easy peasy.
Thanks! Good to know. There are several more plagues after the 1349 one. One in 1665, followed by the great London fire of 1666.
Probably not true. I've read 2.5 books on the plague of 1347-1349 (the main plague that killed 30% of Europe on average) with many sources of people who were there from 1347-1349, and no glass was mentioned in these masks. Glass was very expensive in those days so it was not likely used. They did put herbs in the beaks because they thought it kept "ill vapors" away.

I sit 2 ft from flowers where bees (and wasps) are gathering pollen or nectar. I didn't know there were wasps that gathered nectar. I never have a problem with them getting aggressive. Except the leaf cutter bees are very curious and will sometimes zip once around my head. Then they are satisfied I'm not a giant bee and I'm not trying to take their territory. Leaf cutters can get in quite a scuffle over a blooming sunflower though! lol.
