AWESOMETASTIC! my hair is NOT thick, coarse, or curly - it's exactly the opposite: baby-fine, silky smooth, and straight. I'm not sure it's any easier to make the buns with straight hair; i had to use LOTS of bobby pins (lots and LOTS!) because my hair tends to "fly-away." Spraying a bit of water around the bun/fly-away hairs helps keep them in place before pinning (i used a small plastic spray bottle from the dollar store). I also used U-shaped pins (those metal pins that are "U" shaped at top, sqiggly at the ends) for an extra secure hold. Finally, I finished it all off with an "extra-hold" or "firm" hair spray (a QUICK spray! no CRISPY buns here :) THANK YOU so much!! @TheMasterChef
