  • IoT Made Simple: Monitoring Multiple Sensors

Dave,Another Dave here. I'll call myself DaveW..I've read a few of your posts and I have to say, Slow down and take your time to read and understand what's going on.e.g. when you put your "YOUR SSID" in look at the codechar ssid[] = "YOUR SSID".....this says:char.... which means it is the declaration of a 'character' arrayssid[].... is the name of the 'thing' and it may be easier to think of it as a 'String'YOUR SSID .... is the 'value' being assigned to the String, and is put in quote marks to tell the computer is is text.In the above errors, SimpleTimer.h: No such file or directory.... the computer is telling your that it cannot find SimpleTimer.h. You will have to look back through Marcelo's previous Instructable (he doesn't mention it here) to see where it comes from and check that you have added it.'Regards,DaveW

Marcelo,How do you work out which sensor is which?DaveW

  • IoT Made Simple: Monitoring Temperature Anywhere

The resistor does not need to be changed. It is just used as a 'pullup' on the data line.

Omega Onion2 OLED Screen Show IP and LAN Name

I wasn't sure how you plugged the display straight into the GPIO header, my display has GND, VCC, SCL and SDA in that order.I just hooked up GND, 3.3V, SDA and SCL with jumpers to the relevant pins.

  • Programming ESP8266 ESP-12E NodeMCU Using Arduino IDE - a Tutorial

Looking at the schematic, you NEED a resistor, tho one onboard is only connected to the onboard LED.

HI,Very likely you have two (or more) Arduino-IDE/Serial monitor windows open.Dave

  • Controlling LED with NodeMCU ESP8266 and Quark D2000 board

Hi,I maybe missing the point here, but the code you used for the ESP is capable of turning on an LED directly, why add the complexity of connecting through the Quark board?Dave
