I made this with a little more demerara and less white sugar and it was awesome! I also substituted Mexican vanilla since legit vanilla beans are quite expensive nowadays. Great Instructable!!

I just finished the class and couldn't wait to try this recipe. I have always enjoyed the culinary arts and while not classically trained, I've read numerous books and watched many a cooking show. However, I never really wanted to pursue baking until I saw and took this class. I think the layout of the class was very well executed. Many can follow a recipe, but to know why and how the ingredients come together is what I liked the most. Thank you, and I'll keep an eye out on Instructables for more baking recipes!

Awesome, Awesome instructable! I have a question regarding the Aixiz driver. Did you use that same 4X diode dummy load circuit to set the potentiometer to 300mA on the Aixiz driver? And if so, How? I have been trying this and can only get to maybe 130mV on my multimeter before addition turns on the pot drop the voltage like a rock only to increase again to a max of maybe 130mV. I have even reached out to Aixiz about this problem and they sent me a replacement driver saying that that was odd that I couldn't reach the full 500mA they quote. The replacement had the same issue. I have the Arduino Uno driving the driver when I test it and I have pin 12, GRD and the 5V going to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm so close to my own laser engraver!!!
