It seems to me that you have a lot of experience and that is coming from someone who also has a lot. I am not a big fan of people who try to correct your procedures after the fact...sgbotsford needs to check himself/herself. a pine pad can get changed out any time and for the handles you could even brill and pin it in place if it did work loose after a time.I personally love the look of these and I sure as heck believe that they will stand the test of time...Great job and I love that you don't seem to use power tools....
Started on the project after finishing some other small jobs about the house. I had an after though for the perspex just to make it easier on everyone. I plan a slight angle on it so that it wont be so hard to look on the item i'm working on. I think i will also add the secondary container as Ltetzner suggested.... remembering to have the vac orifice at the top well away from the water...
