Also, I used yeast in the anode, not mud.
Worked great! Except my first was a failure, kept leaking everywhere. I moved the salt bridge to the lid after that, and it worked wonderfully yielding a steady ~240mV! Thank-you for this great instructable; this will be awesome for my science project.
I really like this guide! But could the yeast be as effective in a standard 2-chamber setup?
