I finally fix the circuit and still blinking smoothly. Do you know any way to adjust this blinking? The unic diferent thing I have from your circuit is that the PWM voltage is 24V because I work with a 24V extension shield and I can not modify this output value.
Fixing diode position the dimming works but is not soft as yours. I can see a smooth blinking. The code is part of reprap printer wich works good with fans.
Finally I got the solution, bad connection problem. The lamp was connected after D1 not before!
I've just test it. With 0 Volt the light is on and with 5 Volt it turns off without blinks.
Hello diy_bloke. First of all thank you for this intructable, I have a very basic knowledge of electronics and with this tutorial I do the circuit on a protoboard without any burn! The only problem I found is that the lamp is blinking, it seems like works with low frequency. I have an arduino DUE with 84mhz processor, could that be the problem? Working with 230V 50hz and two bulbs of 200W I have this components:Bridge rectifier 1A 400VDiode 1n4001Capacitor 100uF 400Vresistor 100k 0.6WZener 15V 0.5WMOSFET STP10NK60Optocoupler 4n35Resistor 470ohmThanks in advance.
